Peacefully passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital in Cowansville, Quebec, in her 92nd year. Born in Montreal and a long-time resident of Frelighsburg, Quebec. Ever loving wife of the late Duncan Spencer, beloved and inspirational mother of Ian and daughter-in-Law Lynda. Predeceased by her daughter Janet and son Peter.  Devoted and cherished grandmother of Nicholas and Michael. Always remembered brother-in-Law George Lawson, and sister of the late Muriel Lawson and Earl Young. Also survived by her caring nieces and nephew, Barbara (Ron), Ann and Grant (Angela), her great nieces and nephews as well as her many friends.

Mildred’s family would like to extend a special thanks to her truly dear friends, Alice (Weldon), Geraldine (Norman) and her wonderful neighbours, the Jobin Family who have helped her and watched over her for many years, enabling her to remain in her own home until June of this year. For this we are eternally grateful. We would also like to thank the caring Doctors and staff on level two at the BMP Hospital who showed Mildred exceptional care over the last month, as well as the staff at the Residence Principal Chartwell in Cowansville, Quebec. Most notably a special thanks to Natasha Carbonneau and Danielle Duguay-Coley who showed Mildred the utmost care and compassion in the short but happy time she enjoyed at the Residence.
