I was saddened to learn of Marven's passing. He was, without question, a gentleman and a ray of sunshine in an often dark world. I'll remember his good will and acts of kindness towards other people, as well as our many conversations, on a multitude of subjects, over the years. He was a true "Townshipper" in every sense of the word, and leaves behind many friends. Jim Manson Cowansville

I am glad to have had the chance to get to know him a little, to sing with him, and to hear him play piano by ear, in the time he spent at Knowlbanks.

Marvin was an old school friend, met him a few times for breakfast in Dunham , and he could usually be seen at the local soup luncheons, or suppers. He often talked of antiques, and was very knowledgeable of local history. My most heartfelt sympathies to the family . Marvin will surely be missed.

My sincere sympathies for all the family. Marvin spent many days at my restaurant and I think he was one of the biggest fans of lunch. He was never on time but he was always on his time. He was a gentle and a kind man and I shall always remember that about him.
