Jean Johnston (née Ruiter)

(1930 - 2024)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, in Cowansville on December 11th, 2024, at the age of 94. Lifelong resident of Selby Lake. Wife of the late George Clayton Johnston, daughter of late Murray Ruiter and late Estella Doherty. She will be deeply missed and loved forever by her daughters: Jennifer, Janice (Billy) and Judy (Steve), her loving grandchildren: Ashton (Elisabeth), Preston (Alexandra), Kayla, Kellie, Shaun (Kim) and Jason, as well as her great grandchildren Henry and Jack, other relatives and dear friends. Her love for her family, and passion for her home, gardening, and word search puzzles brought her much happiness. She will be remembered for her love of family and open heart. She had a deep love for flowers but in lieu of flowers, donations in her honour can be made to the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital in Cowansville, or to a charity of your choice.

Saturday January 4th, 2025 from 1 to 4 pm. A celebration of her life will follow directly at the funeral home. Burial at the Duboyce Cemetery will take place in the spring when the flowers are in bloom.
