Mariette Brault (née Chapdelaine)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death, on January 27, 2025, of Mrs. Mariette Chapdelaine, wife of the late Roland Brault, who died at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital in Winchester, ON. Residing in Russell, ON and formerly of Granby, QC, she leaves to mourn her three daughters, Sylvie Brault (Jean-Jacques Renaud), Heidi Brault (Charles Gregoire), Lily Brault (Mario Côté), her grandchildren, Frédéric Côté (Alexandra Rozon), Marie-Louise Côté (Yanick Laflamme), Caroline Robichaud Côté (Patrick Dansereau), as well as her great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Guy Chapdelaine (Simone Aubert), Gérald Chapdelaine (Marjolaine Audet), and was predeceased by her sister Bérèngére Chapdelaine, her brothers Gabriel Chapdelaine (Pauline Frégeau), and Germain Chapdelaine (Rose Demers). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Cathy Howard as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. 

Mariette led a brilliant career as an executive secretary at Agropur in Granby. An avid golfer and bowler, she also enjoyed playing bridge and reading. She was an excellent cook, a skilled seamstress and knitter, and also made beautiful quilts. 

The family would like to thank the Russell Meadows Residence, the Laurent Hill Funeral Homes in Embrun, Ontario, and the Brome-Missisquoi Funeral Complex in Cowansville, Quebec.
