Sorry to hear of Hilda?s passing . Many fond memories of her and her husband Jack from the 1970?s. Would enjoy her company at our summer cottage which was beside Fred Gilman and her sister Hilda. Our girls always enjoyed playing cards with son Harold. Hilda was a fine lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Millie and Ron Martin

We will always remember Hilda for her "Joie de vivre", and had lots of laughs while reliving memories of Dunham with her during our visits at the residence. She was a good cook, and we enjoyed many meals in her home. She and Jack were teaching us to play trionomoes the night we lost power the year of the ice-storm. Card playing, scrabble, and jigsaw puzzles were also favorite activities. We joined them at cross country and downhill skiing in winter, and swimming in their pool in the summer. Hilda is deeply missed. Many sympathies to her family and the Gilmans.

To Harold, and all the Gilman families. I was sorry to hear the news, but not sad. She has not been happy for quite a while. Before her struggles she was warm, funny and always glad to see people. RIP Hilda. Blessings

We have wonderful, fun memories of both Jack and Hilda Soles - great friends and neighbours. Hilda loved to laugh and when she did, it lit up the room. Very involved in the United Church for so many years and actively involved in the Legion as well. If you needed a helping hand, Hilda was there. So sorry she had so many unhappy years after leaving her home. Sincere condolences to the family.

It saddens us to have to say goodbye to a special person who has been a part of our lives for so long. Hilda was a wonderful person who spent her life doing for others.. We shared many good times and lots of laughs with she and Jack. She will be missed but will remain a part of our lives by all the special memories we have of her. Our sincerest condolences to all of Hilda?s family. She thought the world of all of you.
