Visitation will be held at the St-James Anglican Church Hall (40 Dupont, Bedford, QC) on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A celebration of his life for family and close friends will be held at St-James Anglican Church on Friday, October 13th, 2023 at 11am.
La famille recevra les condoléances au centre communautaire de l’église anglicane St-James (40, rue Dupont, Bedford, QC) le jeudi, 12 octobre entre 14 h et 16 h ainsi qu’entre 19 h et 21 h. Une célébration en sa mémoire pour la famille et les amis proches aura lieu le vendredi 13 octobre, 2023 à 11 h à l’église anglicane St-James.

April 22, 1941 - October 5, 2023
Beloved husband, partner and best friend to Karen. Proud father to Chris (Kathy), Kim (Nicholas) and Kevin (Guylaine). Loving grandfather to Andreas and Alec and Kayla. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Hardy will be remembered as an active member of the community, as a business owner and a philanthropist. He donated his time and fund-raising expertise to many worthy causes and organizations in the area. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many people. He was a fine, compassionate and generous man. The family would like to thank Dr. Jean-Philippe Peck and oncology nurse Lynn Larivée for their help and support during the last few months. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his honor to either of his two (2) favourite charities:

Époux bien-aimé, partenaire de vie et meilleur ami de Karen. Fière père de Chris (Kathy), Kim (Nicholas) et Kevin (Guylaine). Grand-papa affectueux Andreas et Alec et Kayla. Il est décédé en paix entouré de sa famille à la maison. Hardy demeurera dans nos souvenirs pour son implication dans la communauté, propriétaire d'une entreprise familiale et philanthrope. Il a contribué temps et expertise à plusieurs causes et fondations de la région. Sa gentillesse et générosité étaient remarquées et appréciées. Il était un homme de coeur avec beaucoup de sagesse qui a marqué la vie de plusieurs personnes. La famille aimerait remercier Dr. Jean-Philippe Peck et Mme Lynn Larivée, infirmière en oncologie pour leur aide et appui dans les derniers mois. Au lieu de fleurs, un don peut être fait en son honneur à une des deux fondations qui lui étaient chères:

I was always touched on how well you spoke of Karen your beloved best friend . Our deepest sympathies to Karen and the Craft family on the passing of a noble, honourable and well respected gentleman from Mystic. Mr Craft was so welcoming, hospitable and took valued time off his busy schedule to give us a tour of Bedford, Mystic and the local area prior to meeting his wife Kathy (who was busy preparing food for the church activities). His dedication to his family and the community is well recognized. His wonderful personality, calmness and flair for business is a legacy that lives in perpetuity. To he family of Hardy Craft It is with Sadness I heard that Hardy has been called to the gates of the almighty.. He was on that road of life, and the road came to an abrupt end. To Karen and Family i offer these words which i am sure Hardy would have whispered to you. What is Next ? " I am waiting for what comes next " is what you told me almost every day. There will be no more waiting As you now have arrived . What is next ? " Us Missing You " What is next? as we strive to live with memories Next come those many dreams and recollections of when we were young and you were there To guide and teach us the things we should have learned, to face in the days to come Next come the many problems we face and you're not there to give us counsel We come to realize we're on our own Yet you are there, looking over us all the same If we falter in decisions true, and look up to the sky We'll feel your presence near to us and we'll no longer ask the " Why " Your presence will then guide our choice we make and we will feel that you are there to take, Take the uncertainty away from us as we ask " What is Next "? Next comes our own life as we forge, forge ahead in months and years Perhaps our memories may also fade and recollections may only be glimpses Glimpses of the days of youth when You were there To answer our many queries of that little phrase " What is Next ? " What comes next? The answer to that will become so clear as we approach That day when we are old and feeble or pain or sickness renders body and mind To realize that our remaining days are not so kind or we are almost going blind. The answer to that, is almost at our lips as we take those steps and pray that the Lord Accepts us in his Realm to be reunited with You That is ' What is Next!
