Les funérailles auront lieu le lundi 25 février 2019 à 14 heures en l’église St-Damien, 26 rue de l’Église, Bedford, Qc, J0J 1A0, suivi de l’inhumation au cimetière anglican de Bedford.

Paisiblement, à l’hôpital Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins de Cowansville, le 21 février 2019, à l’âge de 90 ans, est décédé M. Guy Champagne, époux des 65 dernières années de Mme Betty Allaway, demeurant à Bedford.
Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil son fils cadet : Philip (Carol). Il était aussi le père de feu Marc (Kit). Il laisse également ses petits-enfants : Sam et Strachan, ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces autres parents et de nombreux amis.
Gradué de l’Université McGill en 1953, Guy a commencé à travailler pour la compagnie « Torrington », où il a occupé plusieurs postes en tant que gestionnaire. En 1980, il fonda la compagnie « Exceltor » qu’il dirigea jusqu’à sa retraite en 1994.
La famille tient à exprimer toute sa gratitude envers les médecins et le personnel traitant de l’hôpital BMP pour les bons soins prodigués à M. Champagne. Elle aimerait aussi remercier sincèrement Theresa, Peter et Dawn pour tout le support apporté à Guy et Betty.

Il a fait un bon voyage il mérite le repos, c'était un gentilhomme, par 3 fois il a sauvé l'usine d'aiguilles de Bedford d'un déménagement ou d'une fermeture, juste pour cela il est un des Grands de Bedford, lorsque nous l'avions fêté publiquement moi et M. Béchard avions fait faire 2 plaques de rue...une rue Champagne et une autre que la ville pourra apposer soit la rue Guy-B.-Champagne, qu'il repose en paix.
