Who Are We ?

Mathieu Baker, President

mathieu.baker@complexebm.com

Like his father, Kenneth Baker, Mathieu worked outside of Quebec for many years. After graduating high school, at the age of 17, Mathieu left Quebec for Mexico. While spending winters in the south, he planted trees in British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories for 7 consecutive planting seasons. He also spent two years harvesting grapes in France and oranges in Spain. In addition, Mathieu studied Spanish and anthropology at the University of San Carlos - Quetzaltenango, the second most populous city of Guatemala. It stands to reason that he has mastered Spanish as well as French and English.

In 2000, Mathieu received his diploma of thanatology in Toronto, then acquired extensive experience through his work in a prominent funeral home of the Canadian metropolis for three years. In 2004 at the age of twenty-eight, he finally settled in Bedford, Qc. With much enthusiasm and a wealth of new ideas he decided to devote himself entirely to the well established family business.

Years abroad have made Mathieu a man who is aware of the importance of his family roots. He is a man who is attached to his origins and history; a man who values tradition while remaining open to change and innovation.

Mathieu focuses on the human aspect and the importance of communication as vital ingredients in his work. He is the fourth generation representative of a business that is firmly implanted in the area.
